So here’s the thing with seat covers, there’s like a million out there.

Having personally installed these seat covers on my 2021 Toyota Sienna, I have a thorough understanding of its features.

There’s also a leather-like layer that’s durable, lets air through, resists water, and is simple to clean.
Fitment
The covers fit snuggly to your original factory seats. They lay flat and hug the contours of the frames perfectly.
No silly air pockets or wrinkles, which are often dead giveaways that your seats have covers on them.
The strong buckles and zippers make sure the covers attach firmly and stay put even with heavy use.
They even have pockets made specifically for seat airbags. So if your vehicle is equipped with airbags in the seats, these covers won’t restrict their functionality.

Depending on how you look at it this may be a pro or a con. For my vehicle, a 2021 Toyota Sienna, the EKR seat cover set in Burgundy on Amazon cost me $269.99.
Although this is expensive for aftermarket seat covers, it’s a bargain for covers that look, feel, and fit as if you ordered leather seats as an option from the dealership!

The Cons of EKR Seat Covers
EKR Seat Covers have impressed me in many ways.
However, even as great as they are, there is one small area I feel could be improved. It’s a MINOR con but thought it worth mentioning.
Installation
Installing seat covers isn’t the hardest thing in the world, especially in automotive terms.
EKR covers are super DIY friendly.
But, since these covers are custom fit to your car rather than some universal design, it can be a bit more challenging.
For one, the instructions aren’t the most clear.
The labeling on the seats themselves to go along with them leaves a lot to be desired.
It’s not to say you can’t figure it out. It’s all pretty intuitive.
It’s just that if you have a car like mine with a lot of small pieces, headrests, armrests, and such, it makes for a bit more trial and error.
A more numbered and stepwise set of instructions would go a long way, instead of the more generic one they provide.
They do have lots of YouTube videos for most of the cars, but some may skip a step.
For example, after installing my covers, a friend loved them so much that he ordered a set for his 2020 Rav4.
He figured out most on his own, but the instructions nor the video showed what to do with the middle rear seat belt.
Since it’s attached to the seat, there was no way to route it through the cover. It wasn’t designed for it.
I realized that the seat belt had to be unbolted from the car (one bolt) underneath the seat cushion, and then routed through.
As I said, it’s not impossible, but you need to be a little handy to figure it out.
Is it worth a little struggle for a great outcome?
I sure think so.
